AAHIVM Foundation

AAHIVM Foundation was formed exclusively for charitable, scientific and educational purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 (the “IRC”). The AAHIVM Foundation's goal is to carry out, on a non-profit basis, charitable, scientific and educational purposes of the American Academy of HIV Medicine, Inc. (“AAHIVM”), a DC-based mutual benefit corporation exempt from federal income taxation under 501(c)(3) of the IRC, or any successor organization of AAHIVM, by supporting the educational programs and charitable activities of AAHIVM. In furtherance of such purposes, the Foundation was created to:

1.    Generate, apply and disseminate knowledge worldwide in the treatment and prevention of human
       immunodeficiency virus (HIV);

2.    Encourage and facilitate research in the field of HIV;

3.    Further and support any other purposes and activities of AAHIVM which are scientific and educational in

4.    Solicit and raise money to support such activities;

5.    Accept, hold, invest and administer any property, real, personal, or mixed, whether received by gift, bequest,
       purchase, lease, loan or otherwise absolutely or in trust, for the foregoing purposes or any of them;

6.    Engage in any and all lawful activities that may be incidental or reasonably related to the foregoing purposes.
