The AAHIVM Coding Guide to Routine HIV Testing

In partnership with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the American Medical Associaton (AMA), AAHIVM is proud to have developed the Coding Guide for Routine HIV Testing, a complete resource on HIV testing coding and reimbursement.

The Coding Guide offers a background on the CDC's 2006 Revised Recommendations for HIV Testing of Adults, Adolescents, and Pregnant Women in Health-Care Settings as well as patient examples, and the coding information for the:

- Medicare HCPCS codes for HIV testing

- CPT Codes for HIV test products, test administration, and office services

- ICD-9 CM diagnosis codes
