Background:
·         Currently:
11% of Nevada residents are enrolled in Medicaid. 85% of beneficiaries have managed care. The state's Medicaid program covers up to 200% FPL depending on the specific program. The Nevada Medicaid Division of the Department of Health and Human Services oversees the state's Medicaid program.
·         Expansion:
An expansion of Medicaid to 133% FPL would be a 62% increase over current enrollment.
·         Process:
Despite to Governor's consistent opposition to the ACA, his decision to accept the Expansion was ultimately a result of the Supreme Court's ruling.
State Activity:
·         Nevada is one of the states that sued for repeal of the ACA.
·         Following the Supreme Court's ruling on the ACA, the governor's office said that they would not necessarily expand Medicaid.
·         EHBs have been discussed along with the exchange.
