2011 Testing Is Now Concluded (Wave 1); Results Distributed 10-25

RESULT INFORMATION (Wave 1):  Official score report letters (direct from our third party certification vendor, Castle Worldwide) are enroute to all examinees now.  Complete official certificate award packages are distributed by AAHIVM to all newly certified (or re-certified) providers in late December, after the re-testing wave (Wave 2).  Complete details on exam results and candidate notifications can be found here.

RE-TEST SESSION (Wave 2):  Providers who did not achieve a passing result in Wave 1 (or did not complete or submit an exam at all in Wave 1) are afforded one opportunity to re-test in the same exam format (online or written) with no additional fee or application requirement.  Examinees for whom this circumstance applies will be contacted automatically in late October, and no action is required of the examinee at this time.  Complete information on results and re-testing can be found here.  Re-testing will commence on or about Nov. 29, 2011.  The deadline for exam completion during the re-test session (Wave 2) is Tuesday, December 20, 2011, at 11:59 PM EST (Eastern Standard Time).  Online re-test examinees are advised to complete their re-test well in advance of this time due to heavy server demand at the close of testing.  Paper examinees may postmark their return materials on or before that date.

OUTSTANDING CON-ED ACTIVITY REPORTS:  Providers whose application files remain incomplete due to outstanding continuing education activity declarations will have their certificate award package withheld indefinitely pending submission of this requirement and completion of the application file.  For additional information on the continuing education requirement, please select your provider type from the certification eligibility page here.  To submit your educational activity declarations, please send by US Mail, email or fax (contact information can be found in the footer below).

Online Examinees:  If you were unable to begin or complete your online exam (or if your exam performance yields a legitimate non-passing result) you will be automatically enrolled in the 2011 re-test session in November.  Please note that while this courtesy exam session  is offered  to providers who did not begin or complete their exam in Wave 1, this final exam session is the last opportunity to pass the exam during the 2011 exam cycle.  Also, starting in 2011, your default re-test will be the online exam format.

Written Examinees:  Your completed return exam materials were due for postmark on or before Friday, Sep. 30, 2011.  Materials will be accepted by express courier up until Monday, October 10 at the close of business.  Please include your exam booklet, use a traceable shipment method, and make a photocopy of your answer form (only) prior to shipment.  If you miss this submission deadline, you may still submit your work (same materials) but you will be scored in the re-test session (after Dec 20, 2011).  Address for completed exam submission (if return envelope is lost or missing or if using an express carrier):  CASTLE Worldwide, Attn: AAHIVM, 900 Perimeter Park Drive, Suite G, Morrisville, NC, 27560; tel. 919-572-6880.
