·          Description: The USC Pacific AIDS Education and Training Center Clinical HIV Fellowship, based at the Los Angeles County+USC Medical Center, is a comprehensive training program in HIV Medicine. This 12-month, post-graduate Fellowship trains one physician in the knowledge and skills necessary to provide expert HIV care according to national HIV guidelines and practice standards. The program provides in-depth training in the medical management of persons living with HIV/AIDS at all stages of disease, from initial diagnosis to advanced treatment of multidrug resistant virus and opportunistic infections. Training takes place primarily at the main HIV Clinics of LAC+USC as well as other selected sites. At completion, the participant will be eligible for specialist certification through the American Academy of HIV Medicine. Fellowship start date: August 1, 2014.

·         Description: As a unique collaboration between the correctional facility, the USC Pacific AIDS Education & Training Center and the Keck School of Medicine of USC, this 12-month, post-graduate fellowship trains one physician in the knowledge and skills necessary to provide expert HIV care for inmates within a correctional facility, according to national HIV guidelines and practices standards. The fellowship will primarily take place at health care sites of the LA County Jail, with supplemental training at USC+Los Angeles County Medical Center and affiliated HIV clinics. Training will focus on the primary care of HIV positive persons as well as management of key opportunistic infections anti-retroviral resistance and advanced AIDS care.  At completion, the participant will be eligible for specialist certification through the American Academy of HIV Medicine. Fellowship start date: August 1, 2014.
